# Onboarding process

> Register on the partner dashboard and get API credentials.

Register on the [partner dashboard](https://merchant.xwift.africa/register). Pretium creates your account, API keys, and a 14-day trial as soon as you submit the form.

For a walkthrough, book a meeting [here](https://calendly.com/pretium-finance).

## 1. Create an account

Open [Create an account](https://merchant.xwift.africa/register) and enter:

* **First name** and **last name** (at least 4 characters each)
* **Email address** (must be new to Pretium)
* **Business name**

Select **Create account**. Pretium emails a password to that address.

## 2. Sign in

1. Open [Sign in](https://merchant.xwift.africa/login) and use the email and password from the email.
2. Enter the verification code sent to the same inbox. The code expires after 30 minutes.
3. After verification you land on **KYB / KYC**.

## 3. Copy your API keys

Keys are issued at registration. In the dashboard, open **API keys**:

| Key | Use |
| - | - |
| Consumer key | `x-api-key` on partner APIs (`/v1`, `/v2`, `/account`, `/{currency}`) |
| Checkout key | `x-api-key` on `/v1/checkout` |
| Secret key | MCP [`register_agent`](/guides/agents) |

The dashboard and API keys stay available for **14 days**. Submit KYB / KYC before that date. After it, keys pause until the form is submitted. Once submitted, access stays open while Pretium reviews the pack.

## 4. Submit KYB / KYC

The form has three steps:

1. **Business** — legal name, entity type, country of incorporation, what the business does, and expected monthly volume.
2. **Director** — full name, nationality, government ID, ownership percentage, and phone.
3. **Documents** — director government ID is required (PDF, JPG, or PNG, up to 8 MB).

Confirm the declaration and submit. You can keep calling the API while the submission is reviewed.

## Next steps

After you have credentials:

1. [Quickstart](/quickstart) — make your first authenticated request
2. [Authentication](/authentication) — how API keys and checkout keys work
3. [Networks](/networks) — chains and assets available to your account
